First, the owner of the RK Gun Show, requires his employees to make an announcement prior to the opening of
any of his gun shows, that all vendors check their guns to make sure they are unloaded. He also requires that during his gun shows, announcements are made about gun safety. A negligent mistake made by Bill Adams, a vendor at the RK Gun Show, rests on his shoulders alone.
There is no reasonable reason why this type of negligent act should every occur with a person who practices gun safety, at any gun show, or any place else. With a semi-automatic firearm, you remove the magazine, then you visually check the chamber to make sure there is
NO ammunition left in the firearm. In this incident, the man who Mr. Adams was showing the gun, was very lucky that he was not shot.
A similar negligent discharge happened at one of the Eastman Gun Shows in Atlanta. In that very unfortunate negligent incident, a young boy was killed in a similar manner.
Always remember gun safety.
It might save your life, or the life of another.
