Travel Guides _____________ |
Panel Question Objective There are plenty of good forums all over the Internet. People join a group to ask questions and receive answers from individuals within the same community, activity, hobby, sport etc.. This is fun for individuals wanting to know something about a particular subject, activity, or hobby. but, who are the people answering the questions? What type of background do they have on the subject? Is their answer valid or does it just sound good? It is important that questions on firearms, carrying lethal weapons, ammunition, accessories, laws, etc., be answered by individuals with experience and expertise on the subject matter. LegallyArmed.com has sought out individuals with experience and expertise within particular categories to be on our panel. These individuals do not receive any compensation for taking the time to answer your questions. Not everyone will agree with the answers but, you can send us your own reply, comment, agreement, or argument with the answers. We will review your comment to make sure it does not contain any tainted language or remarks before it is posted to this section. Doing it this way still allows for participation within the legally armed community. One other reason for doing it in this manner is because we did this once before allowing comments to be posted directly to this website. Something we never thought would happen was porn sites placing their porn links in the messages they posted. Hope you all can understand why we are now doing it in this manner. Also, when we got to looking at the porn site links, very little work was done each day. We started sleeping at work versus going home and too many wives called in complaining about the hours their spouses were working. We are now more productive and, most of wives are happier! Panel Members John O'Neil Company: TennTack, Cookeville, Tennessee Background: Retired in September 1995 as Sergeant from the Miami Police Department, Miami, Florida. His length of duty was 21 years. He worked as a street cop his entire career. John O'Neil worked the streets of Miami during the height of violent gang activity that was considered by some as the most violent in the U.S.A.. Prior to joining the Miami Police Force, John wore the uniform of a U.S. Marine. His tour of duty included Vietnam. Questions for John will be on law enforcement officers, encounters with law enforcement officers, and areas related to law enforcement. NOTE: Some people will want to know why LegallyArmed.com chose a "retired" police officer versus an active officer. The reason is politics. Any police officer is subject to the whims and regulations of their department and their Chief. A Chief of police is subject to the Mayor, and a Sheriff is always looking for ways to bolster his or her political image. A "retired" law enforcement officer is NOT subject to any of these areas. They can say what they want without outside influence. Their primary concern is if the mail is going to be on time with their pension check. We believe this is the way to have good open discussions and receive honest answers to the questions. [ Post Note: Got an e-mail from two retired cops who said they did not like the comment about the pension checks. Sorry guys...just a joke!] [Also got an e-mail from a person named Sam who said that most cops were so stupid and crooked, they should not get any pension checks at all. We wanted to find out what state this guy lived in so we did a search on the I.P. address of the computer used to send the e-mail message. Turns out the computer is owned by a prison located in New Jersey. Sounds like some prisoners just have too much free time.] Submit your question to: question@legallyarmed.com
