We want to provide up-to-date CCW statistics because we believe this is a beneficial way to counter all the misgivings about legally Armed Citizens.
Since the late 1980's when states began to enact CCW Laws, very few CCW Licenses or Permits have been rescinded because of a violent crime.
Unlike articles written by the liberal media in the beginning of the ccw laws, the streets have not run red with blood from innocent people.
When a person with a CCW License or Permit has found if necessary to protect themselves, their shots have been accurate, with no innocent persons harmed.

Licenses to Carry Firearms

" Hawaii’s county police departments also process license applications for the open and/or concealed

carry of firearms in public. Statewide in 2010, 183 employees of private security firms were issued

carry licenses, and seven (3.7%) were rejected. Three private citizens applied for a concealed carry

license in the City & County of Honolulu and were rejected for not meeting the criteria established by the chief of police."

Massachusetts has a two (2) tier system. One for carrying [LTC], and one for possession [Class B].
There are about 280,000 records of both tiers. However, it is estimated that only 80% of the 280,000
records are for carrying concealed weapons. This would give an approximate number of CCW's at:

As to obtaining resident permits, here is what their state law says:

159:6-a Confidentiality of Licenses. – Notwithstanding the provisions of RSA 91-A:4 or any other provision of law to the contrary, all papers and records, including applications, pertaining to the issuance of licenses pursuant to RSA 159:6 and all licenses issued pursuant to said section are subject to inspection only by law enforcement officials of the state or any political subdivision thereof or of the federal government while in the performance of official duties or upon written consent, for good cause shown, of the superior court in the county where said license was issued.
